Verdict

AVOID (high confidence) at ADP 143.7 (FFC PPR, 2026-07-07). Aiyuk is on the reserve/left squad list, has not played a snap since tearing his ACL+MCL in October 2024, and on 2026-07-07 publicly refused to file for reinstatement — the one procedural step that would let SF release or trade him ("will not be reinstating with them or ever doing any kind of business with them" — NBC Sports PFT / 49ers Webzone, 2026-07-07). Without reinstatement he cannot be released, traded, signed elsewhere, or paid; SF has abandoned trade efforts and Washington's interest has waned (team profile, sources 2026-07-02 → 07-07). Why the market is wrong: pick 143.7 is stale name-value pricing of the 2023 WR1 plus a hoped-for release — but the freshest reporting says the release mechanism is the exact thing Aiyuk refuses to trigger, so the median outcome at that pick is 0.0 PPR points. This is AVOID, not FADE: the risk is thesis-breaking at any realistic redraft cost, and in a deep-pool hunt that 12th-round pick buys a player with a live path to a role. This is a roster-status verdict (evidence hierarchy level 1–2); no stat argument enters into it.

Deep-pool screens applied: fails every one. Post-hype screen requires "role newly open" — he has no role and no path to one. Pedigree (R1 #25, 2020 — PFR) is void under the decay rule (year-7 player; believe the NFL record, and the NFL record since Oct 2024 is zero snaps). • He is off the 2026 SF picture. The team profile treats him as vacating nothing (0 targets in 2025) and instructs evals to treat him as off the roster for projection purposes. SF voided his $27M in 2026 guarantees and may pursue $13.8–18.4M in signing-bonus recoupment; the financial war gives SF no incentive to free him and gives him a grievance timeline that can outlast the season.
